Junior BLAZE U7 Development Program

Goal

  • To provide an opportunity for players to develop their skills and abilities in a practice environment focusing on individual player growth. Junior BLAZE players practice on an additional night from the usual house league night during May.

  • A clinic style will be used for these practices.

Overview

  • Junior BLAZE practice sessions will be on one week night evening at 5:00pm, location TBD (pending arena confirmation from the City of Burlington). 

Cost

  • Follow up communication will be sent with program cost when registration is open


U7 Select Team

Overview
  • Interested players will be selected from our U7 house league program to practice together, play games against other centres and participate in two tournaments. This is in addition to house league commitments.
  • House league participants will be able to notify coaches of their interest in being considered for the U7 select team. Players will be evaluated during house league play and a team will be selected (there are no specific tryouts).
  • The U7 select team season will run from beginning of June to the end of July
  • The U7 select team floor time is currently TBD, but usually one weeknight (ex Tuesday 5:00 pm).
  • The goal is to play three home-and-home series with local teams.
  •  The team may also participate in 1-2 away tournaments.
