Girl's Field Lacrosse (OWFL) (Burlington Minor Lacrosse)

The BMLA AGM will be held Sunday October 27 2-5pm at Sotiris Restaurant in Burlington (3135 Harvester Rd). All members (players, parents, coaches, volunteers and referees) are welcome!

Hello BMLA Families! All photos from our 2024 season should have been handed out at this point. If you have not received your photos then please reach out to your coach and/or team manager. Please also check with other parents on the team (some parents picked up on behalf of other families). Thank you for being trailblazers and registering with us for the first OLA Sixes season. Adjusting to the surprise of this season has been a challenge for us, but we’re doing our best to try and get our teams together and ready. Thank you for being patient! The last-minute change to the season from the OLA has thrown all plans we had for the Fall out the window and we had to completely change our schedule, roster make-up, and in some cases come up with coaching staffs!

We wanted to provide an update, as best as we can, on Fall lacrosse in Burlington. Based on messaging we received from the OLA yesterday (August 26) it looks like there will be Fall Sixes lacrosse for U9/U11/U13 boys and U9/U11/U13/U15/U17 girls. Additionally, the OMFLL is running a 10v10 fall field lacrosse league for U15 and U17 boys. Some of this programming is a pleasant surprise (girls get Fall lacrosse!), and some of it catches us by surprise and results in us not being prepared.

We would like to congratulate our athletes for being selected for a Team Ontario lacrosse team!  Being selected for these teams is no easy feat and is proof of the commitment these players made to the sport. Not many minor lacrosse players can say they’ve been selected to a provincial team. This year we had 27 (!!) Burlington based players selected to Team Ontario rosters (see list below). For some perspective on how far Burlington has come as a lacrosse center, we had six players selected to the 2018 Team Ontario rosters.
