As the boys field season wraps up we'd like to recognize the U17 players who have stepped on the field for the last time in their minor field lacrosse career.
It is very easy to quit lacrosse. There are literally hundreds of other things to do.
It is even easier to quit field lacrosse in Ontario. The time commitment is tough, the weather usually sucks, who knows what kind of team you will have, and there always seems to be conflicts with hockey and box lacrosse.
But these boys have stuck with the sport, grown a love for the sport (and in some cases a passion) and deserve recognition.
From Burlington: Walker Zabransky, AJ Babony, Josh Buiter, Rowan Edwards and Liam Luzza
From Hamilton: Noah Cupples, Rory Pottruff and Alex Long
Thank you to these young men for the dedication and commitment you have put to this sport, your clubs and our communities.
We hope you find a way to stay active in the sport through play, coaching or officiating. The lacrosse community needs more people with the knowledge, passion and leadership these boys have!
Sticks in the air for these guys!!!
