Registration Coming Soon!!
The BMLA is optimistic and excited we can start programming in June based on the latest news from the Province and the expected re-opening phases.

We are planning and hoping to begin activities the week of June 14.

Registration should be opening next week, so ensure you are checking back here or following us on social media!

What programming is being offered?

When facilities become available, we are running programming for rep-box, house league and women's field (both rep and learn-to-play) that will be two-sessions per week for eight weeks. As it stands today, we are aiming to begin Rep Box and Women's Field activities the week of June 14 following provincial guidelines for 10 players per field.

House league box lacrosse activities will begin two weeks later and will be two-sessions per week for six weeks.

Our LOLAX offering, which stands for Ladies of Lacrosse; targets U19 (previously the Intermediate age group) and up. We are looking to have 4 teams play one night a week. This covers women of all skill levels who would like to play and have some fun.

Dates, length of programming, and number of sessions could change based on decisions and guidance from provincial and local governments, as well as facility / field availability from the City.

Will there be games?

Yes, if we are allowed under public health guidance. We have reached out to a few neighbouring organizations to try and schedule games starting in Stage 2.  Those familiar with rep programming should not expect formal league play, tournaments or provincial championships.

What are the fees?

We are working with the City to establish facility availability and are awaiting provincial guidance on participant limits. Without those details we cannot set a formal registration fee.  We have forecasted the worst-case scenario (low participant limits and artificial grass fields) to cost no more than $250 per participant for rep programming and $200 per participant for house league programming. These fees could be lower if participant limits increase, or grass-fields become available from the City for our use.  Additional fees may be required for rep games to pay for facility rentals and game officials. These will be communicated to parents as they are known.

What is the expected schedule?

We have established a schedule starting June 14th. Depending on numbers we may use the first two weeks for "rep assessments”.  Each rep box team should plan on carrying 20 players at the max as that will allow for two cohorts for gathering restrictions (expected to a maximum of 10 in stage 1).  Each girls field rep team should plan to carry a maximum of 12 players to meet expected outdoor gathering restrictions.

Rep Box
U13,U15,U17 will run once a week with potential for exhibition/Intra-squad games in stage 2. (approx. July 5th)

All other age groups will run twice a week with potential for exhibition games/IntraSquad in stage 2.

Rep Box (Outdoor)- season runs for 8 weeks (week of June 14th-Week of Aug 9) We will be using turf fields (Notre Dame/Assumption) and Grass (Ascension).  During stage 1 we will have cohorts of 10. The groups must stagger start times by 5 minutes. Sessions will run for 50 minutes. (IE: Cohort 1-5pm, Cohort 2-5:05PM,Cohort 3-5:10PM)
