Check-in
To help the day run smoothly, please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tryout time.
All players must be registered with the BMLA for insurance purposes.
If you haven’t registered yet, please click HERE to complete your registration. A list of registered players will be checked on-site.
When players arrive, they will receive a pinny for identification during evaluations.
If your child has a schedule conflict, please let the VP Girls Rep Box know in advance. If a player will miss one of the tryout sessions, coaches can focus their evaluation on the sessions the player is able to attend. The more opportunities coaches have to see a player, the more complete the evaluation will be.
The number of teams in each age group will depend on how many players participate in tryouts. Final decisions will be made during the evaluation period.
Please remember to send your child with their own water, as water will not be supplied at the facility.
Tryout Structure
During tryouts, drills may be led by coaches from other age groups or by BMLA Board volunteers. This helps ensure a fair and consistent evaluation process.
To support unbiased team selection, the BMLA discourages naming assistant coaches who have children trying out until after teams are finalized.
Players must attend tryouts to be eligible for selection to a Rep team.
In special circumstances, the Board may approve an exception.
If a player is not selected for a Rep team, they will automatically have a place in our House League program, and any fee differences will be refunded accordingly.
The BMLA strongly encourages the use of Affiliate Players on Rep teams. These players are chosen by coaches from our House League program and may have opportunities to practice with—and occasionally play for—a Rep team when a rostered player is absent. Additional fees will apply for Affiliate Players.

Releases
All Burlington Residents are required to play for Burlington. If Burlington is unable to field a team at any level, releases will be given only to players who have registered and attended at least one (1) tryout.
Players who are not registered and who have not attended a tryout will be deemed to have no interest in Rep Box lacrosse and will not be given a release.
