U13 (2012, 2013)
Natalie Maxwell & Sian Evans
Sportsmanship, fair play and fun … the coaching philosophy of the U13 Girls Field Lacrosse coaches, Natalie Maxwell and Siân Evans. Both Evans and Maxwell have longstanding ties to the lacrosse community, both as players and coaches, and love growing the game in their own community.
Natalie competed as a member of the Burlington Girls Field Lacrosse program and in university, as an attacker on the McMaster Marauders Women’s Lacrosse Team. Maxwell later moved into a coaching role with the Marauders organization upon graduation.
Evans played with the Brampton Excelsiors Girls Field Lacrosse team, Team Ontario and as a member of the University of Toronto Varsity Blues team. She has coached the Girls Field Lacrosse Team at her current school, Cawthra Park Secondary School. Natalie and Siân have played a vital role in rebuilding girls lacrosse in Burlington alongside fellow coaches, Sarah and Sandy Chapman. They are the proud recipients of this year’s Burlington Minor Lacrosse Association Rep Coach Of The Year award and the Girls Field Lacrosse Award in 2021.

U15 (2010, 2011)
Tammy Allin
As an elementary school teacher in Halton for 17 years, and a community coach in a variety of sports, Tammy knows the importance of creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where athletes are comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and feel valued.
Her coaching philosophy places a large emphasis on building player confidence and their understanding of the game, while fostering meaningful relationships within the family community of the team. Her students will say that her motto is “practice makes progress”, as she believes equal opportunities for all athletes is the best way to achieve individual and therefore team growth. As a parent of two active children in sport, she feels that coaching is her opportunity to give back, providing a platform to support the growth of young people within our community.
