Bryan Johnson
Bryan is a passionate and experienced coach with over a decade of coaching minor sports, including hockey and lacrosse. A proud graduate of Burlington Minor Lacrosse, Bryan has a strong connection to the community and is deeply committed to developing young athletes in both sports. Throughout his playing career, Bryan excelled in both field and box lacrosse, earning three National Championships: the 2005 NJCAA title with the Herkimer Generals, the 2006 Founders Cup with the Oakville Buzz, and the 2009 Mann Cup with the Brampton Excelsiors. He also competed at the collegiate level as a Division 1 NCAA player at Bellarmine University and was drafted into the National Lacrosse League by the Calgary Roughnecks in 2008. Bryan’s coaching philosophy focuses on creating a fun, positive, and supportive environment that fosters both personal growth and athletic development. |

Matthew Bertrand
Born and raised in Oakville, Ontario. Played minor lacrosse in the Oakville Hawks organization from Tyke to Midget. Played Junior B for the Oakville Buzz and Jr A for the Burlington Chiefs. In 2006, won the Ontario & Founders Cup. Played Division II in the NCAA for Seton Hill University, serving as a two year captain, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania.

Sandy Chapman
Sandy has a long history with lacrosse starting as a minor and finishing his career with 17 seasons in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) winning 5 NLL Championships, 3 Mann Cups, 3 CUFLA championships, and the NLL defender of the year. Sandy has coached various age groups (boys and girls) from U7 to U15. As a coach, Sandy's dedication is to promoting youth participation in lacrosse and to help grow the Burlington Minor Lacrosse Association. Sandy is passionate about promoting and growing the game of lacrosse at the grassroots level. The goal for the season is for all his players to have fun, want to return next year, and continue to play the game that Sandy loves so much. |

Ian Harloff
Ian grew up playing lacrosse in the Scarborough Saints organization, minor through Junior, winning the Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award in OJBLL during his final year. After a lengthy Senior / Major Series lacrosse career as a shutdown defenceman with the Ajax "Rock", which included a Presidents Cup final, he retired from playing and concentrated on coaching.Following a number of years with another organization, Ian joined the Burlington lacrosse family in 2019 as the Head Coach of the Bantam 'A' team. Ian has continued developing young players in both House League (U5, U7) and Rep (U7, U9), with a focus on skill building, team work, fitness, fun and the love of the game. Ian is looking forward to an exciting and competitive 2025 season with the Burlington Blaze U9-1 team.

Ryan Greer
Bill (Ryan) Greer recently spent the four seasons as the Assistant Coach of the San Diego Seals in the NLL. He has a long history of coaching, including leading the Six Nations Arrows Jr. A team to 2 Minto Cup Championships, and coached Team Canada’s U17 team. Greer has won a number of Championships as a player, winning the WILC championship with Team Canada, 2 Mann Cup Championships with the Brampton Excelsiors, and a Minto Cup playing for the Whitby Warriors Jr. A team. Greer played 15 seasons in the NLL winning a Championship with the Rochester Knighthawks in 2007 and played his final 5 seasons for the Toronto Rock. Coach Greer has been coaching in the Burlington Minor Lacrosse Association for the past 8 years. My main coaching philosophy is to provide a safe, fun, and engaging learning environment for players to develop a love and passion for the sport of lacrosse.

Shawn Cardy
Shawn has been fortunate to play, coach and be involved in various lacrosse roles the last 35+ years at both the Minor and Junior levels in Burlington. "Burlington is and has always been my home and I feel it’s important to give back and pass down my experience and knowledge to help other players and families love the sport and have success. I am excited to get back on the floor and see the kids competing and representing Burlington across Ontario this summer!"
